Sonali Doshi

Hello friends welcome to my Honors Portfolio! My name is Sonali Doshi and I am an incoming fourth year student in the Medical Sciences program at the University of Cincinnati. I'm from Mason, Ohio (about 20 min from UC) and am very passionate about medical exploration as well as campus involvement.

Throughout my last three years at UC I have grown as a leader, taking advantage of all the resources and opportunities the Honors Program has to offer. I have also had the opportunity to work with underserved populations through volunteer work and shadowing healthcare workers in rural regions. This has not only helped me confirm my passion for medicine but it has also allowed me to further develop my strength of empathy and my ability to work in group settings.

 

Academically, I have been able to develop my critical thinking strength by continuing to challenge myself with upper level courses, specifically those that I'm further intrigued by. I am also minoring in Health Education and Promotion, Integrative Health and Wellness, and Public Health because I have discovered my passion for teaching throughout college.

UHP has allowed me to take part in so many unique experiences such as the RAMP program, SURF program, honors ambassadors, and self-designed learning experiences. Each of these has played a critical role in building my college experience.

As a highly futuristic individual, my current career goal is to become a physician and conduct clinical research! I know it will be a challenging path but I'm looking forward to pursuing my passions and building memories with my classmates. :)
